  Timing Related Issues
Here is an introduction on the timing issues that we are trying to resolve.

In 2005, we went ahead and study various problems from Process Characterization to Mass Production. The result is a summary of this set of 200-page tutorial slides. This tutorial was taught at 2005 ITC as part of TTEP education program.

In general, the following figure can better describes our vision to the research. We think that novel timing tools should be invented to fill the stage between design timing closure and mass production. This is where traditionally, test preparation, diagnosis, and silicon debug are pursued. Because of the variations, we think the gap between design and manufacturing has become widening. As a result, we need to rely on novel tools in test, diagnosis and silicon debug to close the gap.
